Dinner at Sita's

On Saturday Sita invited us to her house for dinner. It was a great evening, of yummy food, cross cultural conversation and much laughter. Since Sita lives with a Japanese friend, we had a feast of both Japanese and Nepali food. It was so delicious. It was also the birthday of another of her housemates, and we had cake to celebrate. It was really neat, I was together with them all celebrating Jamuna's birthday last year just as I was leaving. And here I was a year later able to celebrate it again. We enjoyed remembering back to the fun party last year, and made new memories from this fun time (this year's pics here).

We did not end up going to Tansen Hospital. Despite the strike lifting on Friday, things are still up in the air enough that we didn't want to get stuck somewhere without an airport, and we were advised from both the Pokhara and Tansen end to stay in Pokhara. So we're back in Green Pastures Hospital for the beginning of this week. Today we helped them with figuring out wheelchair seating for a couple of challenging cases. Tomorrow we'll go on Rehab rounds, and then see some more patients. There's more than enough to keep us busy here! I'll try to post soon on some of our seating assessments.
